ICSS Entrepreneurship Programme and Business Development Support

TalentPlus Resources International (TRI) is a Partner Organisation (PO) with GIZ-GOPA implementing the ICSS 2.0 “Strengthening MSMEs' Competitiveness in the Nigerian Entrepreneurship Ecosystem”.

The ICSS Entrepreneurship Development Programme offers a structured and modular approach to entrepreneurship support through its four core modules: Inspire, Create, Start, and Scale. These modules are designed to address the distinct needs of MSMEs.

The ICSS Entrepreneurship Development programme, create Business Development opportunities through Entrepreneurship Training, Coaching and Aftercare.” The trainings are delivered using the blended learning model of online and in-person trainings. The content of the training is designed using modular approach that builds from INSPIRE, to CREATE, to START, and ends with the SCALE module.

The ICSS training programme is inclusive giving women and youths opportunities to create, start a new business, own business, grow the business, thrive and drive a successful business.


ICSS Modules is a hybrid (In-person and online training) modular approach

INSPIRE

Basic employability and pathfinder course: 10 days, including

  1. knowledge about the economy and employment options,
  2. implementing ways to participate in the economy and be gainfully employed,
  3. identifying participants for the next module.

CREATE

Basic entrepreneurship course: 10 days, including

  1. imparting basic entrepreneurship knowledge,
  2. developing a concrete business idea and a business module canvass, and
  3. identifying participants for the next module.

START

Business start-up support: 20 days of training and coaching(aftercare), including

  1. registering a business,
  2. developing a viable business plan,
  3. imparting knowledge on business administration and requirements,
  4. coaching/aftercare support for a successful operational start-up and identifying participants eligible for the next module.

SCALE

Growth-oriented business support: 20 days of training and coaching (aftercare) including

  1. advanced business management training,
  2. product development and marketing,
  3. employment creation and personnel management,
  4. coaching/aftercare support for accessing finance and markets.
